We finally got our hands on the most affordable GeForce RTX 3090 in Malaysia, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090. The card here is not overclocked, so it will be running reference clocks. But ASUS did slap on a sweet 2.7-slot, triple fan cooler onto a custom PCB designed by ASUS, so while the clocks are NVIDIA reference, nothing else on this card is. Let’s check it out.

RTX3090上市也有一段時間了，其實大家最關心的是何時才買的到貨，據傳要到明年才會有充足的現貨可買，但這似乎已經過了購買的時機，因為 NVIDIA將在明年推出 RTX3080 TI來因應來自 RX6900XT的壓力，RTX3080TI的規格跟 RTX3090相比只是記憶體少了 4GB，因此在效能上肯定不會輸 RTX3090，但價格卻硬是少了 $500美元的狀況下 (等於是 $999美元版的 RTX3090) ，所以沒機會入手 RTX3090的玩家將是賽翁失馬焉知非福，因為 RTX3080TI或許將是更好的選擇，RTX3080TI的出現除了將會減少玩家購買 RTX3090或 RX6900XT的意願，並且讓已經入手要價 $1499美元 RTX3090的玩家，感覺是狠狠的挨了老黃一記悶棍，但不管競爭的結果如何，最後都是使用者受惠，所以這一切還真的是要感謝蘇媽才對呢 購買任何產品都一樣，除了要考慮效能與價格之外售後服務更是重要，尤其是像顯卡這種一直在改朝換代的產品，其保固年限與維修換貨的乾脆與否更是玩家在購買時必需考慮的選項，而 ASUS與 GIGABYTE一直享有最佳的口碑，因此， ASU

The heat spreader draws heat up into heatpipes that carry it through a fin stack that fills a large 2.9-slot footprint. Increasing the heatsink size compared to the last generation provides more thermal headroom to account for the new high-performance chipset.

Top-shelf capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs are selected to effortlessly deliver hundreds of watts at a millisecond’s notice. The Super Alloy Power II parts are soldered to the PCB using our advanced Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process. Smooth joints on the rear of the PCB and the elimination of human errors ensures each graphics card meets our rigorous specifications.

The rear of the ROG Strix graphics card sports two PWM FanConnect headers that provide additional DIY flexibility. Chassis fans can be directly attached to the GPU and tuned with a curve that is based on CPU or GPU temperature, providing extra intake or exhaust for demanding 3D tasks.

In addition to under-the-hood design changes, the ROG Strix features a new face with metal accents that mirror the design aesthetic of ROG and ROG Strix motherboards. Mixing surface textures and materials make a statement when vertically mounted and lit by chassis LEDs. For those who prefer a sleeker, more subtle look, the greyscale colorway allows it to seamlessly blend into the build.

IT’S COOLER OUT BACK
Flipping the card around reveals more design improvements. A wide backplate vent and shortened PCB allows hot air to escape towards chassis exhaust fans instead of being recycled by the GPU’s circulating cooler design. A GPU bracket provides extra stability to the critical connection between die and heat spreader. The I/O bracket is made from stainless steel to protect ports and provide a more secure mount. A conveniently placed Dual Bios switch allows quick selection between “performance” and “quiet” mode for basic customization of the card’s default behavior without software.

FUNCTIONAL FRONT
Careful attention has been paid to the front of the GPU, as it’s the most visible part of the card in typical configurations. A new addressable RGB element can be customized with Armoury Crate to create a uniform look along with other ROG components. To fulfill the power demands of the GeForce RTX 3090, three 8-pin power connectors are present, along with an onboard circuit that monitors PSU rail voltage. The circuit is fast enough to catch any transients that result in the rail voltage dropping too low. If that happens, a red LED will light up to indicate a power supply issue. The Strix’s reinforced metal frame is also visible here, adding a literal layer of durability.
